ORGAN PLAYERS

The “Ērģelnieku” house, belonging to the Engure Evangelical Lutheran congregation, is located in the central part of the Engure village on Jūras Street. The basic volume of the wooden building has remained unchanged since its construction in 1804. The one-story symmetrical building with a mantel chimney in the center is covered with a gabled clay tile roof. Two habitable rooms have been built in the attic of the building. There is a small basement under the building. The log house is built on a strip-shaped boulder foundation. The logs are connected in the corners of the house in a smooth paksa. Both the interior and exterior walls of the house are built of logs. The task of the project is to restore the house as close as possible to its original form, preserving and restoring the historical volume and details and, as carefully as possible, adapting it to the needs of the congregation, including the operation of the Sunday school.
