LAUBE HOUSE

The wooden Art Nouveau architectural monument was built in 1908 as a workers' residential building according to the project of architect E. Laube. The house has been preserved as an apartment building, connecting the small apartments into larger ones, as a result of which three apartments were created on the second and third floors each. A new apartment with a roof terrace has been built on the attic floor. The first floor of the building is designed for renting out three offices. During the reconstruction process, the facades of the building were renovated with new dormer windows and the wooden stairs, panel doors, and plank floors were restored. The existing tile stoves were converted into fireplaces, and wood stoves were restored in the kitchens. In the reconstruction project, the apartments were integrated into the overall style setting through additional details: in the expansion of the overall color scale, in the use of a small checkered tile pattern on the floors, in the search for the image of the bathrooms, in the design stylizations of kitchen furniture and built-in wall cabinets.
